Online dossier · Leadership of the Future

Everything it includes, and what I need in order to quote it.

Here is the hard information. Below you tell me about your institution and I send the quote back in under two business days. If you would rather have it on paper, the PDF is the same dossier.

Length

90 minutes

45 of exposition, 10 of exercise, and the rest an open conversation built on the positions about AI that the audience shares and argues out loud

Format

Talk and open floor

I make the case, the room brings its points of view; good humor throughout, rigor intact

You take home

Your position, in a few lines

and the option of putting it to the test with a cause

Place and language

In person or online, in Spanish or English

Bring us to your institution, organization or group; online it runs 80 minutes by videoconference, with no travel expenses

What happens in the room, minute by minute

  1. The question that opens

What ground are you deciding from today? Everyone answers in silence, to themselves.

  2. Who is speaking, and why

From a Commodore 64 to the creative partner he could never afford to hire, and everything that broke along the way.

  3. The way of looking

Borges, Marie Curie, and eight billion ways of thinking differently. Why yesterday's eyes cannot see this era.

  4. The causes

El Capi, a 77-year-old teacher at the Military School for Sergeants. A dance that premiered its own score. An app built out of a lifelong dream.

  5. The exercise

Three minutes of reflection. Everyone writes down what artificial intelligence is and what they think of it, on paper, on a phone, wherever. I choose who gets asked out loud.

  6. The open floor

The room asks, argues and puts its points of view on the table. You can see how hard this is for everyone, and every open floor corrects the thesis.

  7. The close

You leave with your position, and with a view of the terrain to shore it up or to sense where to start using it on a cause of your own. For or against, we all walk out knowing more about AI, about what we think of it, and about what we lose by turning our back on it. And an invitation: put it to the test, and tell me how it went.

What is included

  • A thirty-minute call beforehand to understand the context of your community.
  • The full session: forty-five minutes of exposition, ten of exercise, and the open floor. Online, eighty minutes by videoconference.
  • Follow-up on WhatsApp for anyone who leaves wanting to put their position to the test.
  • Travel within Puebla and Cholula.

What is needed

  • A lecture hall or large room with a projector and high-speed internet, plus a microphone where the space calls for one.
  • Audience: by nature it can be a mixed one. It does not matter whether they are for or against, or how much they know about the subject.
  • An investment in fee, travel expenses and the running of the event. Travel outside Puebla and Cholula requires expenses, negotiated with whoever books it; online there are no travel expenses.

How the fee is set

There is no single rate, and that is deliberate.

The fee is set according to the date, the institution's needs, the number of people attending, the context of the event and the venue. A public school and a company do not pay the same, and that seems fair to me. Online there are no travel expenses: fee only. With the details below I send the quote in under two business days, no haggling and no surprises.
