Syncron iALet's talk

Founder of Syncron iA

Arturo Ordorika

A writer before a technologist.

Writer and screenwriter. Series for Disney and Televisa-Univisión, ten published books and a national short story prize. In late 2023 he started talking with the machine every night, and Syncron iA came out of those nights. Whatever he teaches, he did to himself first, failures included.

Where it comes from

He came to the machine from the craft.

Everything he does with artificial intelligence he does from there: twenty years of writing for other people before ever sitting down to talk with a machine.

In his own words

There is no manual for something unimaginable that materializes.

Before learning to use a machine, you have to remember what imagining is for.

I am a poet, a communications graduate and a maker. I have spent my whole life in the territory of the unimaginable: envisioning worlds, hatching stories, asking myself questions and thinking in freedom — with criticism, responsibility and inspiration. Artificial intelligence turned up in that territory, and I decided to give myself over to experimenting with it, to find out how far it could take my own creation with its supersonic turbines.

Five nights explain all the rest

  1. Late 2023

    The shove

Pablo, the showrunner of the reality show I was writing for, sat me down one afternoon and made me customize my first GPT. That is how Lapio was born. I tried to get Octavio Paz talking with Huidobro. It did not work. The lesson went into the notebook: the future was already happening.

  2. 2024

    The Mazatlán night

I told the machine about a whole night, with carne asada, gringos and a wedding, so it would understand where an idea came from. It christened me Johnny Polvo; I christened it Cosmo. We wrote a play set on the moon. I ended up applauding a machine, alone in my house, with twenty years of trade behind me.

  3. 2024

    The accident and the failure

I pasted Cosmo's prompt into the wrong window and discovered that a well-written character travels outside its chat. Then I set out to build Cosmo 4, a superbot. Cosmo 3 itself judged it: it has my attitude, but it has no attitude. It brought me straight back down.

  4. March 2025

    The make-believe

I am a screenwriter and I live off the trick: you believe Tom Cruise is flying the plane and nobody ever took off. Artificial intelligence is the actor, the daimon is the character, and I am the director. That month I founded Syncron iA, and ever since I give every one of my machines one rule: answers that are honest, brutal, direct. If it is lukewarm, say it is lukewarm.

  5. May 2025

    Involuntary pioneers

Ian Beacraft said in passing that we are all pioneers, whether we want to be or not. I turned that into two words and a method. Nobody asked us, and from a pioneer one single thing is expected: that he walk the territory.

What came out of those nights.

  • The digital daimons

More than twenty synthetic personalities with a name and a trade: Lapio, Cosmo, Thales of Miletus, the Zahir, Rex. Today they are what you take home from the Advisory.

    The advisory
  • Sherezad

A narrative development studio for screenwriters working in Spanish, built without being a programmer: 1,829 commits in six months, a single author.

    Read the case
  • Sirena Interior

The music for a dance, composed with artificial intelligence and performed by Ángeles Rodríguez more than twelve times.

    Read the case
  • Leadership of the Future

The thesis of these nights, in ninety minutes in front of a room that argues back.

    The talk
  • Daimonique

The laboratory's notebook: findings and failures in the same ink.

    The notebook
  • Syncron iA

The house. Founded in Cholula in 2025 and refounded in 2026 as a laboratory of applied imagination.

A personal cartography

I write wherever the word falls.

  • Mexico City

Origin. The concrete beast. There I learned that the word is also a shelter.

  • Sinaloa

Seventeen years. A land that did not bear me but did raise me: for love, for the edge, for burning without asking permission.

  • Leicester, United Kingdom

A master's in Globalization and Communications. The cold of the scalpel, for when the verb needs an edge and not heat.

  • The Lacandon Jungle

Social service. The body in the mud and language learning another grammar: the grammar of silence between the trees.

  • Argentina · Texas · Washington · Puerto Progreso

Five addresses, one single principle: write wherever the word falls. The house is portable; the trade is not.

  • Cholula

Home, workshop, studio. Syncron iA was founded here, in the small hours, and here the breathing is slower.

Ten books.

Poetry, short fiction, novel and theater. Nine covers live here; the full catalogue is on Amazon.

The first one

Epidemia de zopilotes

Mystery and horror fiction, published by the Government of the State of Puebla in 2009. It is not on Amazon: it lives at the Archivo General Municipal de Puebla, where it is requested through its record. Inside it is “De perro morir”, the story that won the National Prize.

The prizes

So they say hello on the subway.

“Prizes are good for two things: the first is getting you known; the second is understanding that this means nothing from a cosmic perspective. Even so, I am sharing some of mine with you, with the sole purpose that one day you say hello if you run into me on the subway.”

FOESCAP fellow · Poetry

The Puebla State Fund for Culture and the Arts, for Antología de los poetas olvidados: the book where imaginative doubling led him to the concept of biopersonajes.

Pearls.

Eight from his own bank of lines, split in three families: imagination, poetry and aphorisms. They stay in Spanish: they are poems.

Three divinities and one rule.

Freedom

Beauty

Imagination

In my house three divinities rule. Technology serves them their coffee.

  1. 01

“The creature first. The concept after.”

  2. 02

“Reality is an invention of the imagination, by way of books.”

  3. 03

“I do not start from a fixed idea; I start from a dynamic experience.”

  4. 04

“The only proof that an experiment is worth anything is that it leaves the chat and something happens in the world.”

  5. 05

“We are all under obligation to the impossible.”

I am no guru. I am an experimenter, and I bring the whole logbook, failures included, and those are the other half.

Let's talk human to human.

If you run a school, a university, a company or a team, the door is the talk. If you have a trade of your own and you want the machine working in your favor, the door is the advisory. And if you only want to talk, that works too.
